Daisies and Carnations

Daisies and Carnations

In the style of Fantin-Latour, the master painter of flowers, this still-life just completed while working at Chiaroscuro Studio of Art in Miami.  Learning to push and pull chroma and values, while creating a pleasing composition and keeping everything in balance is quite the challenge.

  2. I'm impressed with your journey to get to the next level, but you already seem to be at a pretty high level. Do you have a favorite subject matter?

    1. Thank you very much for the kind comments. Favorite subject? No, not really. I think that the execution and style are more important to me than any specific subject... and I'm far from where I'd like to be in that sense. ;)
