Dubai Hotel Room Orange

We either learn to adapt to our surroundings or we don't paint as often as we'd like.
This 6" x 8" oil on linen panel painting of a peeled orange was done in my hotel room in Dubai on a layover.

  1. Awesome! Hey, love your shadow box. Let's its the back of a leather tablet. Cool and smart. You do adapt well. ;+)

  2. Absolutely beautiful. As good as any orange I have seen painted.
Love the toilet roll and plastic palette knife. Is that your briefcase you have adapted to be the black surroundings for the orange?
I admire the lengths you will go to, to be able to paint while having to travel with your job.

    1. Thank you, Julie. The "shadow box (background)" is actually the room service menu. I squeezed orange juice all over it and had to wash it off after I was finished painting. :)
