Abbey Ryan Workshop

This weekend was fantastic.  I was privileged to take a workshop from the amazing Abbey Ryan at the John Peto museum in Island Heights, NJ.  My friend Liz from Missouri, accompanied me, along with her sister-in-law, Anette from Alabama.

Taboret Drawer Day

Back from New Delhi yesterday morning and some work on the taboret's drawer stand shows how it takes life.

I probably shouldn't be working with power tools after a trip halfway around the world and back.

It's Taboret Drawer Day!

It's drawer day here at taboret central.

Some of the process:

1. Drawer sides on dovetail jig.

 2. Cut the dovetails with a router.

3. Trial fit the sides, insert the bottoms.

4.  A completed drawer with bottom inserted.

And 12 perfectly square glued up drawers for 2 new taborets.

Charlee's Bicycle

This painting is for Charlee Moore, a friend who took the photo that it was painted from.  The goal was a quickly painted, loose brush stroke, more painterly style.  This was done on a layover in Hong Kong.
